Light Combat Helicopter (LCH)

Indigenously designed and developed by HAL to meet Combat mission
requirements of Defence Forces. Dedicated combat helicopter with day & night operational capability. Designed for all-weather & extreme climatic conditions with high degree of
reliability, high agility and maneuverability. Extensive use of composites for resistance to corrosion, longer life, ease of repair
& high degree of crashworthiness. Only attack helicopter in the world in its weight class with demonstrated capability
to land & take-off at an altitude of 5000 meters with adequate fuel and payload. Integrated with 20mm Turret Gun, 70 mm rocket pod & Air to Air Missiles system. Equipped with armor panels, self-sealing fuel tanks, bulletproof windshield and
ballistic tolerant main rotor blades to ensure battlefield survivability. Designed to carry out air defence role against aerial targets, destruction of enemy air defense, counter insurgency, support of SAR ops, anti-tank etc.
