Features/Roles/Variants of the product
The cold hammer forging process used by MSF (A unit of YIL) strengthens the steel's molecular structure, creating a denser, more resilient product that resists wear and tear.
Forging produces a very smooth and uniform bore with precise rifling, which improves projectile consistency and shooting accuracy.
The high-strength material and minimized internal stresses from the forging process lead to a longer service life, even under repeated firing and high pressure.
Forging ensures a uniform grain structure and material density throughout the barrel, eliminating weak points that might exist in cast alternatives.
The improved structural integrity allows the barrel to withstand the high pressures and temperatures generated by large-caliber propellant charges.
As a specialized defense manufacturer, MSF has extensive metallurgical and quality-control processes, including spectrographic and ultrasonic testing, to ensure its forged products meet stringent defense standards.
