Product Description

The primary role of the Pollution Control Vessel is to carry out dedicated oil spill response operations in the vast EEZ of our country and also around the various neighbouring Islands. The vessel is 115 mtrs long, 16.5 mtrs wide and a tonnage of 4100 Tonnes with a maximum speed of 22 knots. The pollution response capabilities of the vessel includes an advanced radar with oil slick detection software, Oil Recovery Operation System (0R0 System) with two flush type integral side collector sweeping arms, Oil Spill Dispersant (OSD) Spray System, Ocean Booms, Near Shore Booms, Skimmers, RO stowage portable barges among many other state of the art features. In addition the vessel is also equipped with medium caliber Guns with Fire Control Systems and 02 main Radars.
Fitted with twin diesel engines, each driving a controllable pitch propeller and shaft generator of 650KW, through a reduction gear box, the vessel delivers a maximum speed of 22 Knots. The endurance of the vehicle is 6000 NM. An Integrated Platform Management System are provided on board
