Defence Exhibition Organisation (DEO)

1. Introduction.  The Defence Exhibition Organisation (DEO) has been established in 1981 with the main charter to organize and coordinate Aerospace and Defence (A&D) exhibitions in India and aboard. DEO, through the Aerospace and Defence exhibitions in India and abroad promotes export potential of indigenous Aerospace and Defence sector. DEO’s office is located at Room No. 108, 1st Floor, Hotel The Ashok, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021. DEO organises 02 marque international exhibitions in India – Aero India and DefExpo.

2. Aero India.    Aero India 2025, the 15th edition of Asia’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, was held from 10th to 14th February 2025 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. Themed “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities”, the event was more than just an exhibition - it was a testament to India’s growing technological prowess, manufacturing capabilities and expanding influence in the global aerospace industry. Aero India 2025 had spectacular Air Displays and the expansive exhibition area featured India Pavilion along with pavilions showcasing domestic and foreign aerospace companies.

3. DefExpo.  The 12th edition of DefExpo (India’s flagship biennial event showcase Land, Naval and Homeland Security System) was held from 18th to 22nd October 2022 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.  The theme was ‘Path to Pride’, tying into India’s vision of self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) in defence and promoting “Make in India, Make for the World” by forging partnerships with both Indian & Global defence companies.

4. International Exhibition Abroad. With a view to provide visibility and an impetus to export potential of the Indian Aerospace & Defence Industry, DEO coordinates the setting-up of “India Pavilion” at major international Aerospace & Defence exhibitions abroad. The “India Pavilion” bring together all Defence Organisations viz DPSUs, Public/Private sector, MSME and Startups under one umbrella and aims to showcase the indigenous capabilities and wide spectrum of products manufactured by defence industry.
