Product Description

The Pinaka Pod assembly is a crucial component of the Indian Army's Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher (MBRL) system, a battle-proven rocket artillery weapon. Each mobile launcher vehicle carries two pre-loaded pods, which are designed for rapid reloading in the field.

Features/Roles/Variants of the product
The launcher holds two pods, each containing six tubes for a total of 12 rockets. Each pod can be quickly replaced with a new one after firing.
A full salvo of 12 rockets can be fired in just 44 seconds, saturating a large area of 700x500 meters.
The launch tubes within the pod are made of lightweight E-glass/epoxy composite materials, while the pod frame is made of Aluminium alloy.
The modular design allows for the use of rockets of varying calibers simply by fitting different tube sizes into the same pod frame.
The pods are fired by a computerized fire control system, but the launcher can be operated in autonomous, stand-alone, remote, and manual modes.
The assembly includes the tubes, frame, wiring harness, and locking mechanisms necessary for loading and firing.
