Product Description

YIL specialized steel grades, especially ultra-clean, high-strength alloy steels for military hardware, railway axles and other uses.

Features/Roles/Variants of the product
These grades are engineered for extreme toughness and high performance under stress. They are used for critical components in weapon systems like gun barrels for artillery and tanks, such as the Dhanush gun system.
YIL develops and supplies proprietary, high-strength steels. Examples include a micro-alloyed, ultra-high-strength steel of 1750 MPa and another steel with a minimum toughness of 50J at room temperature.
These grades, including High-Strength Low-Alloy (HSLA) steel, are designed for the deep-drawing process used to manufacture steel cartridge cases for ammunition.
YIL also manufactures and processes various standard steel grades for other industrial applications, though the military sector is its primary focus.
