Product Description
The Gunner Sight of the T-72 Tank was limited to day only operations and lacked an integrated Fire control System (FCS). To enable Night operation and enhancing firing accuracy, Thermal Imaging Fire Control System was inducted as a replacement of existing obsolete night gunners’ sight. This upgrade significantly improves the combat effectiveness of the Tank T-72 by enabling all weather, day and night firing capabilities with enhanced precision.
Features/Roles/Variants of the product
Two Axis Stabilized system
TIFCS is a high-precision, dual-axis stabilized sight integrated with a thermal imaging channel, designed to significantly enhance target acquisition and engagement capabilities of T-72.
State of the Art Sensors
It is equipment with state-of-the-art sensors like win sensor, tilt sensor, Air temperature sensor, Air pressure Sensor
Charge temperature sensor and Gun position sensor, which ensures high accuracy of firing and essential decreasing of firing preparation
Operational efficiency
System allows to fire with a various types of ammunition at day and night time during static and moving conditions from Gunner’s and Commander’s stations
Muzzle Reference System (MRS)
MRS allows to carry out adjustment of TIFCS with a gun without crew leaving the tank
Reliability of Solution
TIFCS is in operation in more than 10 countries, it has proved its efficiency and reliability, it is the only solution recommended by the Chief Designer of T-72 and T-90 tanks.
Additionally, India Optel Limited as Indigenous manufacturer with full absorption of ToT offers significant advantages in terms of after sales service and life cycle support.
