Product Description

In legacy aircraft, many display units are analog which can only receive synchro signals inputs
whereas New generation systems provide the input to displays on ARINC 429 or MIL 1553B
Bus. ATS unit is an interface between bus based new systems and legacy synchro based
analog displays.
The ARINC to Synchro (ATS) Unit is a digital to synchro converter system that receives
angular data (Heading and Bearing) on two ARINC-429 inputs and converts it into two
independent ARINC-407 analog synchro output (3-wire) to interface with on the board Radio
Magnetic Indicator (RMI) of helicopter.ATS unit has following main functions:
I) It converts the ARINC-429 data received from two ARINC sources into two independent
Synchro outputs in channel-1 & in channel-2.
ii) Interfaces with the discrete switch to select the processing of ARINC Channel 1 or Channel 2
inputs or both.
iii) Indicates the health status of ARINC 429 input source.
