The 7.62x39mm Trichy Assault Rifle (TAR-25), is a modern, combat-ready automatic weapon designed for close- to mid-range engagements. It features single and automatic firing modes, delivering effective fire up to 300 meters and precision single-shot capability up to 600 meters. The rifle is equipped with quad Picatinny rails at 2, 5, 6, and 12 0'clock positions for mounting accessories such as vertical foregrips, flash magnifiers, and optical sights. Its ergonomic rubberized polyamide pistol grip enhances handling and control, while the hinged receiver cover with locking mechanism ensures stability for mounted optics. TAR-25 also supports underbarrel grenade launchers (40mm UBGL and 40.6mm UBGL-516), making it a versatile platform for infantry, special forces, and tactical units operating in diverse combat environments.
